Peer-reviewed publication quantifying reforestation needs across California, 1991 - 2023. Describes how field data were used to refine the POSCRPT tool model. Proposes reforestation needs in three-tiered priority bins, with moderate priority considering just burn severity, and high and acute priority tiers considering the combination of burn severity and natural regeneration potential. Presents results in terms of forest types as well as seed zones.
